We start our next growing season about two weeks before the first green leaves start showing on the first apple trees that wake up, usually in late March or early April!
All of this is almost like a vacation compared to harvest!!! It is all at our own pace until that first hint of green starts growing, then our schedules are dictated by our crops and the weather.
